Yep. This is what I use to do news updates on my site. It works quite well and is pretty easy to set up. I haven't looked around at other news scripts, but I can't say I've really had to as I like everything newspro has to offer.

I was using NewsPro a lot before I switched over to the SlashUBB hack. Works really great, has lotsa cool addons, and better than any news script I've ever tried
