intro: about a month ago, i ordered about 10 types of garlic online. the site said they generally shipped mid-sept. well, after about 2 weeks, i wrote it off, since my card had not been charged. i subsequently bought about 15+ types of flower bulbs locally that i still need to plant.
well, the garlic finally showed up this week, without even a notice of shipment. so i now have a damn bushel of bulbs to plant. im going to lose my mind. who wants to come help me?

hehe. nah, garlic doesnt grow well everywhere, and i have odd soil. so i have 4 different types, and about 10 varieties. one or 2 should do well. they have different flavors as well, from sweet and mild, to hot and strong.

Garlic is GOOD.. mmmm tastey stuff.. Work makes a Garlic Butter crust pizza.. damn good.. my favorite by far..
Sorry Red... I am much to far to come help plant.. although a vacation would be nice..
when I was a kid my mom planted some zucchini.. that stuff grows like a weed here... what started as a 2x8 section soon took over the full 8x8 garden..
Also my great grandmother had a farm in north central Tenn. she grew all kinds of good stuff.. Tomato's.. Corn.. Carrots.. Beans of various types.. miss that fresh stuff..
(Other side of the road was the tobaco fields that she owned to..)

I got a fenced in back yard now. A small garden might be a cool idea. I wouldn't mind growing my own peppers and maybe even garlic. Anything spicy is good.
I wouldn't even consider it if I didn't have a fence though. I still see images of the neighbor lady chasing off an Irish setter cursing because it ate all her cucumbers. lol
