I really want to design a forum script and i think after my lastest site I've developed the skills enough that I can at least attempt it and learn whatever else along the way. The thing I need from you guys is ideas. What makes a good forum script, I dont want to just repeat UBB or Ikonboard.
So far what it will have is:
- A news script already set up (or maybe ill just make that a seperate project people can also download
- that [ ] code stuff cause it makes the pages a little more dynamic
- gonna all together remove html, too much of a security issue to be playing with fire at this stage of the game
- EVERY color and font will be modifiable from the admin center.
- not gonna bother with private messages at this time. No one really uses em
- and then all the general features of these boards.
I need more ideas though I want something unique that you would want to use on your site if you were looking for a board.
