magic find, Magic Find, MAGIC FIND!

OK here we go. I have a level 75 sorceress with 418% magic find. I'm not finding anything with her. I had a few questions, hopefully someone can answer.
1) If I play in closed bnet solo, does this decrease my chances of finding items than in 8 player games?
2) Does the level of the character really make a difference (i.e. my lvl 75 sorc compared to one at lvl 99)?
3) Is there such as thing as to much magic find to where you'll just find crappy items all of the time?
4) Where is the best place to go magic finding? I normally go to Nightmare and Hell Mephisto and Baal. I don't go to cowland on hell because I never find anything good.
5) Does giving mercenaries magic find really help yours?
6) And finally, what strategies do you suggest for magic finding and where are the best places to look for the top notch items?
Please help me if you can

1) The more the merrier
2) Yes, higher lvls have a wider range of items to find, I.e. a lvl 75 cant cause a GF to drop
3)Magic find was nerfed a bit for uniwues and sets, and i havent played for a while, so your Set MF is 209% greater i think, and your Unique find % is around 150%
4)Meph and ball are good, u just have to keep at it, i used to do runs for an hour or 2, and is get a few decent items to trade, but pindle skin has high lvl drops like WF and GF
5) your MF stacks with the mercs, so if u have 400%, and u have him equiped with 200%, then when he kills a monster, he has 600%mf, but ONLY on monsters he delivers final hit to
6) It u want exceptional uniques, do NM Diablo/Meph/Baal, Elites act V, and some are found in Chaos in hell mode

mf only affects with the chance a dropped item turned out to be rare/set/unique. it doesn't affect any percentage of, say, a hydra bow dropped from a monster.
the things that can affect the percentage of hydra bow dropped from killing monster is a place you kill, your level, and number of people in the game. percentages changes depending on how many people in the game in the moment of killing. your mf only affects the chance for the dropped items to be turned out as wf.
i think the best mf for mid level items is nm meph, easy and fast.
for wf or gf and stuff, get yourself high level first(i say 90) with high mf as possible and make a group with friends, like differed classes(for the immunes), and kill every single monsters in blood hills(found wf in here) and world2 to baal. your friends sould have mf too.
you have to keep doing it, until you find some good stuffs. it will eventually happen.

No, i used to know the exacts, but the char has like .01% chance of finding a unique item to begin with or something like that
