I was really looking forward to that game, but nooooooo, some musty old men who sit in a room deciding what we should and shouldn't enjoy have once again gone and ruined many gamers fun. I swear, im sick of all this crap, it happened with GTa3; the hookers were removed :'( , the gang wars were removed, the amount of people on the streets you could kill were removed, the drive by shootings were removed, and some missions were removed aswell. Now then go and say that BMX XXX is inappropriate. They look at things far too naively, they look at the shell of the game, not its guts which is what a game is all about. Its just f*cken pathetic. I hate my life. And censors. And those people who bombed Bali.

hmm ive never heard of this game, and i cant get the site to play me the trailer (too lazy to register) whats it about and what is so offensive?

Some people taking gaming WAAAAAY too seriously...

Just get a friend in the states to ship you an American copy.

It's only illegal to "sell" the game in Australia, isn't it?

Oh c'mon man. All the nudity, profanity and dog fornication is just stupid (I thought I'd never say that).

And... uhhh.... you are just looking at the shell of the game. You, like them, are focusing on the pointless stuff (nudity, profanity....etch) that doesnt affect gameplay. The gameplay will remain fairly unchanged. They are simply taking out all the crap that makes the game offensive to some.

The guts of the game look to remain the same

nudity and dog fornification? whats that have to do with bmx biking?

Marketing.

And from the sound of post #1, it's working flawlessly.

Its the good damn principal. I as a gamer shiuld be able to play what ever games that i feel like playing. If they include excessive violence and the like then so be it. the fact that the censors wont create a bloddt "R" rating (our highest rating besides X, dunno how it works in other countries) is beyond me. With many games released here, they have a warning stuck on the game case saying suming like "Explicit viloence and/or sexual referances are contained in this game. This content may be offensive to some viewers".

And i would have my friend from the states send em a copy, but
1) The game is banned here, so its illegal for me to posses a copy.
2) You guys have different format machines, you have NTSC, we use PAL, so the game wouldnt work anyway (oh i hate region coding to). I would get a mod chip for my machine, but they like so many other things are illegal here aswell =(.

The fact is they shouldnt have banned the game here on the basis of profanity and nudity. When they take all that "crap" out of it, it wont really be BMX XXX biking will it. However, if someone is willing to send me an american Xbox and a copy of the game tghen i will be happy to accept it.

Speaking of Australian laws, I was told that it's legal to beat your wife in Australia. Is that true?

Posted by: Canis Lupus

I do hope you're kidding...

Posted by: redwench

probably no more true that it is in the us. theres usually old laws on the books that allow it, but are superceded by current ones.
