OK, I'm waaaay behind schedual at work. I mean like, I have to practicaly start the project over again, and the deadline is the 31st behind schedual.
So, I need you guys to find me a .mov to .mpg converter that will work on a mac. I'd look myself, but I just don't have time. Thanks

WTF ... I searched for ".mov to .mpg" "converter" "mac" and I got these damn results:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...er%22+%22mac%22

Anyway... doesn't Quicktime already do that?

Posted by: Ghetto Blasta

Those are some wacky results!

QuickTime does that? I had no idea. Any idea how I might go about doing that?

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Well, basically you need Quicktime Pro to convert MOV to AVI ... then convert the AVI into MPG using a video converter utility like the Microsoft Media Encoder...

There may be free conversion utilities available, but I haven't found one through the standard searches, yet

well I just so happen to have QuickTime Pro, but I can't seem to get it to work for some reason. I think it's because macs are useless.

Also, I need to know how to burn things in PC format using a mac. Any ideas?

Posted by: Ghetto Blasta

Actually, if I can firewire things between a mac and a PC that would work too. Probably take less time also.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Well, you can use the ISO-9660 format when you burn it ... I use that format when I burn discs on the G4 I have at work, and my PC at home can read it...

Alright, I'll give that a whirle. Do you know if the same thing works for DVDs? Because 1 DVD is better then 4 or 5 CDs. Damn video files are MUCH too big...

Posted by: Outlaw

Just out of curiosity, what's the runtime on those "MUCH too big" video files?

Posted by: Ghetto Blasta

It's a collection of DV files that need to be edited and assembled, along with 2 good quality .movs that are about 8 minutes I think. The DV files are anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. But there's about 25 of them.
