mp3 transfer

I want to transfer mp3 files that I have on a cd-r to my computer but when I do,none of my media players will recognize the format. I know you can move mpeg files from cd to computer and they play,can this be done with these mp3 audio files? Thanks.

Are you trying to extract your Mp3's from the CD-R or are you just trying to listen to the CD from the CDROM drive?

Try disabling "read only" on the files on your computer. When you burn files to a cd, all of them become write protected, because you can't change them once they're on a cd.
