(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Trying desperately to install Visual Studio .net n my notebook. Every time I do so, it keeps asking for

"Insert Windows component dsk for .net "

Tried inserting Windows 2000 cd but reply comes back that the cd is wrong...

What cd am I suppose to insert !!!!

Have you installed the .Net framework for Windows 2000?

I would have thought it came with VS .Net. Maybe not.

The .net suite installation process can get tricky.

I've only installed it once, but I remember that there is an installation disk and many discs incorrectly labeled "Disc 1." You insert the installation disc and it asks for the "Disc 2", which is actually "Disc 1." That's how I remember it, anyhow.

Sorry if i've just confused you more...shouldn't be too hard to swap through them, though.

I have installed .net framework (again with difficulty). Applied all the updates from Microsoft's site. And yes, I agree, there is confusion on the labelling of the cd's.
Still trying. Thanks guys.
