I am using windows norton windoctor and it is giving me the message there is a missig program file.

"C:\program files\commonfiles\installshield\professional\runtime\0700\intel32\dotnetinstaller.exe" cannot access a necessary file, "mscoree.dll."

how do i get rid of this from my system so it runs smoothly again. It is preventing me from running numerous programs at the same time and therefore i have to shut everything down and then reboot, which is annoying!

Please help!!!

What version of Windows, and doesn it popup automatically, or only when you open certain programs?

From what it looks like that .dll file is part of .net package. Try this link they have the updated file you need. Just makes sure it is in your Windows/System folder.

windows XP. it only rears its head when i am running more than 2 programs. It seems to block the open program and then freeze the screen . it then takes ages to "unblock" it all. when i reboot, there is a serious error message and it takes a couple of minutes to be ready for use.

where/how do i download it into my windows/sytems folder???????????

If you click on the download link provided at that URL it will take you to a java page. If you scroll down about half-way there is the link to download.

It is a zip file so you will need to have winzip or pkzip installed to unzip it. Once you download it, extract it to your C:/Windows/System folder.
