Run DMC member murdered

A member of the pioneering American rap group, Run-DMC, has been shot dead in New York.
Jam Master Jay - whose real name was Jason Mizell - was killed at a recording studio in the Queens district, police said. A second person was injured.
Police said that the 37-year-old disc jockey had been shot in the head and that the attacker was still at large. One unconfirmed report said there had been two gunmen.
most unfortunate, particularly since he wasnt a gangbanger.

That really hurt me. I was a big fan of Run DMC. The first group to bring rap to the suburbs. Without them, there would've been no hope for me. I was in such pain when I found out.
