That's a pretty interesting read overall. Gives some great insight in to how well open source and linux are doing in some areas.

Personally, I've been finding more open source software worth using. I won't go making the jump to linux any time soon, but some programs are reaching a level of polish that finally does make them an alternative to tried and true microsoft products. I've mostly switched over to Pheonix from IE (Pheonix is a mozilla based browser that is aiming towards becoming as small and effecient as possible, with few bells or whistles), and Open Office has been serving my needs nicely (Including the ability to read MS Office documents well and accurately).
