The dictionary reference that is the subject of this thread originates from The New Hacker's Dictionary, which is also known as The Jargon File (as noted at the end of the entry). It's a very interesting and insightful document on hacker/geek/computer culture that I think most of us can identify with. On top of that, it's a pretty spiffy lexicon; definitely worth a look if you haven't heard of it already.
