I must have fallen under a mummy's curse in a past life.

Okay, this is getting rediculous. I've had bad luck most of my life, and I've pretty much become used to it. However, bad luck normally manifests itself in the form of hardware failures. Luckily, I have had no hardware failures of late.
Because Lady Luck (or 'the bitch' as I like to call her) has found a different way of screwing me over.
In the past few months, I have been subject to the following bouts of luck:
-Bought an audio cd, only to find the wrong cd in the case.
-Bought an audio cd, only to find the cd broken inside the case.
-Double whammy: When I went to return it, they had to order a replacement. Took almost two months to get.
-When I purchased Battlefield 1942, the first copy I received had no CD Key on the case.
And today, when I bought the Lord of the Rings: FOTR extended dvd set... I get back to the office, open it up... and there is only 3 dvds. It is a 4 dvd set.
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Your bad luck is shared.
- I currently own three uncracked cd cases. This is no exadgeration. They all happen to break one way or another.
- The first time I bought Warcraft 2 BNE, there was no cd key.
- At least two times, I have purchased a cd only to get an edited version instead. Of all the people I have talked to, no one has had this happen to them and I'm still clueless as to how something like this happens.
- When I first bought D2, it would install on my now old computer, but not play. A week later my new computer arived that was ordered a while before. I put in the install disc, and the computer crashed. Every time after that when I put in the install disc, the computer would not respond. The cd would spin, but the computer did absolutly nothing. Eventually, I traded install discs with a friend who lived a while away. When the instalation started, it asked for the play disc, which I put it, which crashed the computer. I played D2 for the first time two months after it came out.

I have horrible luck with hardware, or anything of that sort.
There hasn't been one time that I have bought any type of hardware or electronics that weren't defected or that took numerous hours of trouble shooting to get them to work.

If you think about it, lots of people register at OTS because of some sort of hardware/software failure. But you guys take the prize, I've never had bad luck before, but then i again, I never had any luck.

I'm sure we all know what Nova's hardware failure was.

stores like Wal-Mart, Target, etc sell edited versions of cds, but they don't tell you that

my badluck involved radioshack and my computer. My dad bought our comp there ( i know, its pure crap) and everytime, i need to go onto it, it crashes. then when i took it in to radioshack, they'd drop it, or lose it, or put in the wrong part, they even deleted my account once and then my extra warranty. I HATE RADIOSHACK!!!!!!

Let me rephrase.
At least two times, I have purchased cds from places like Sam Goody and Best Buy, or other places that do NOT cencor cds, and listened to the cd, only to hear the edited version.
Wal Mart does tell you that the cds are 'clean' versions. And Target doesn't edit stuff.

I share Nova's pain.
-Recently bought a CD with the wrong one inside.
-Recently bought a CD that just sat in the Diskman and made a "beep" sound.
-Bought Warcraft 2 BNE, tried to download the patch, caused a system crash, scrambled my icons, and disabled my sound.
-AOL is on the fritz(Not letting UDP Packets go through Port 6112), so I can't play games on Battle.net, I can only chat. It really doesn't matter, because that whole War2BNE issue fried my video card anyway.
I think that mummy holds a grudge against me too.

Here's a fun update: Disc 2 of the FOTR extended set doesn't work on my xbox. Luckily (Ha!) it worked on my PS2.
