Take yer time man, if its one thing I hate its not being able to finish a game if I'm winning I'd rather wait and play an awesome game of chess than play a horrible one now.
Btw, just so y'all know, I suck at chess but enjoy playing it.

Yes chess would be awesome. I like chess but suck majorly at it. I need to practice.

I hear that Turks ... I used to love to play Battle Chess even if I knew I would loose horribly. I love loved seeing those pieces fighting each other.

Yeah, the chess game I plan to incorporate is database-driven. It's a module for phpnuke and can be integrated with vbportal...
The problem I'm having with it is that it doesn't handle cookies pretty well ... after each player has done their first opening move, the cookie doesn't recognize whose turn it is next ... might be a problem with the integration, so I'm still sorting it out.
Anyone who is interested in beta testing it for me, PM me and I'll expose you to the bugs, lol

Well, those who PM'ed me asking to beta test the chess module, I regret to inform you that I would have to shelf this project for a while, since I am scrapping the vbportal setup and going with a simpler portal scheme ... since the current chess module will only work with a php-nuke interface, I would have to look for one that is independent and can be installed by itself
So I apologize for the premature announcement - but this thing is not the first priority right now
