Extigy or Audigy2 that is the question

Hey
Right now I have just a regular SB Live 5.1.
I am thinking about upgrading and I broken it down to either an Extigy or an Audigy2. I really like the Extigy because it is external and I get a remote, plus i use my head phones alot and it is a pain swithing back and for between my speakers and the headphones.
So I was just wondering which would you recomend?
There is also the audigy 2 Platinum but that is quite abit of the bling bling if you know what i am sayin 
But I still could do it if it would be worth my while.
Any info would be great.

I'd recommend not upgrading it at all.
I got a Live 5.1 too and it does everything I need, and more.
Do you have a specific reason for upgrading?

Well my friend upgraded from the 5.1 like mine to a audigy and he said he noticed a considerable difference. So I thought I would upgrade.

You won't notice the difference unless you have a high quailty set of speakers.
I'd recommend the Audigy 2 Plat, since I've heard several bad things about the Extigy.

Actually, the audigy has much better 3d positioning. It's really noticeable in games.
