Legend of Zelda for Gamecube gets an official title

Last October Nintendo of Japan unveiled the official name of Zelda on GameCube. Labled Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto, it was unclear how that name would translate into English.

Today a Nintendo representative confirmed that it has beened dubbed The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The reasoning behind it seems to be that Link is capable of awaking the spirit of the wind, using it to solve puzzles through the game

Interesting for sure, but not exactly a killer title. (then again, 'Majora's Mask' sounded pretty lame too)

I heard that the graffics are crap too.
It looks too much like a cartoon.

Wind Waker.....that reminds me of the gameboy Zelda: Links Awakening, or whatever. The one where you have to wake the Dream Fish with the 8 musical instruments you get from the nightmares in order to get out of the dream. I wonder if this is a remake/prequel/sequel to that story line?

Yeah, Link's Awakening. Kick ass game. I doubt that Wind Waker is related to it (I just havent read a thing mentioning it), but that sure would be nice.

And Radiator, go check out IGN and take a look at some of the movies for this game. The graphics are anything but crap
