Is it possible to buy the fan that goes on the nividia chip of an Asus GF3 Ti500 video card

Friend of mines fan on the video card started making a;; kinds of noise, he cleaned it out blowing compressed air on it but is still makes a racket on and off so...

So in other words can the fan be replaced , and if so where do you look to get the fan?

You mean something like this?

You should try the manufacturer first. They may replace the defective fan for free if the product is still under warranty.

This was true in my case with my Kryo II from Hercules. It was a mistake to buy that card, but then again, it makes a decent emergency backup.

lol I just replaced the fan on mine with a crystal orb after the original stopped spinning. Mine wasn't under warranty anymore, and I wanted something a bit better anyway since the first failed.

Best friend simply took a heatsink fan from an old 486/p1 motherboard and mounted it.. says it drops the temp 10*.. but he lost 1 pci slot
