my next monitor can be lcd. by then they should be good.

They'll probably have to hit near 8ms before they are good enough, IMO. They need enough time between frames of a game so that the image can be constant. Since at 60fps each frame takes about 16.7 ms to calculate, I'd figure that if you have about half that in response time, it gives the image time to 'solidify' before the program chances the pixel colors again. Should eliminate the motion blurring effect.
