Gamers' Choice Awards polls open

Welcome to the Gamers' Choice Awards, GameSpy's chance for our fans to pick their game of the year for 2002 in selected categories. You may notice that a few categories are conspicuously absent, such as Adventure, Simulation and Expansion Packs. While there were indeed several games in each, we felt none of them stood out enough to offer our own awards in these categories. Our Game of the Year selection will begin on Dec. 16 and go through Dec. 28. Voting ends at noon PST on Monday, Dec. 23, and the Gamers' Choice Award winners will be announced on Dec. 26.

Overall, I think this was a crappy year as far as games go. A lot of letdowns.

I voted GTA:VC for PS2 GOTY and Jedi Knight 2 for PC.

JK2 is just too good.

I played JK2 for 5 minutes before hauling it back to EB. And I LOVED the original. The cheesy cutscenes were horrible, and combat was rediculous other than sabre fighting and force powers. Sure that can be fun, but it could have had a lot more in it besides that.

Whoa, seriously? I think its one of the best 1st/3rd person shooters to come along in a while.

Well, most people liked it. It just didn't seem to do anything for me. The physics in the game just seemed too weird for me I guess.

The best game of the year i think would be GTA Vicecity but what do i know im just a kid that sits down stairs on his computer and answers forums all day.
