monitor powers off by itself

I just exited from a game called Magical Treasure. The moment I exited the monitor counts down and powers off as if I turned off the computer. Pressing the switch back on will only result in the monitor turning itself back off again.
I've tried restarting and I can see WinXp loading up, but once that passes the monitor power off again by itself. I've turned off the puter and unplugged the monitor and disconnected it from the vid card. A few min has passed.
Ok. I've reconnected all. It shows WinXP loading. Now the monitor's gone into sleep mode by itself.

ah... where's the delete button? -_-
i solved it. some sort of problem with tv-out. a friend suggestted i unplug tv-out and now it's working.
