I just got my comp working gain and now Warcraft 3 is giving problems about not being able to initiate directX. I am using Windows Me and i know that ain't the best but it worked before and my version of directX is up to date. Anyone know whats going on.

Try downloading the latest drivers for your video card.

If you just reloaded the operating system, make sure to go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the service packs and patches it detects that you need.

Well despite all updates and things i still face the same problem. Could it be Windows Me?

Post your system specs.. specifically, RAM and video card. If you don't know these things, just post the make and model number of your computer, and we'll look it up.

I have a 192 MB or RAM 600 mg processor Voodoo 3 3Dfx video card in my comp
All this work very well before, but now it is giving me this problem despite re-installing WC3 several times and DirectX several times.

What version of DirectX did you install? Correct me if im wrong guys, but I dont think running DirectX 9 with a V3 card would necessarily work. Do you remember what version of directx you had installed previously?

Yea me too... I just started installing the game yesterday on my dell laptop (Windows ME) and it keeps saying it cannot initialize Direct X. I remember i fixed it before long time ago but i dont know what to do. And why do we have to download something from a site just to get it installed that means we cant install the game without internet?
