Asherons Call 2 examine problem

Under most circumstances, this game plays flawlessly. But whenever I try to examine certain items it takes 5-10 minutes to access the server and populate the data. During this time the UI doesn't respond to anything so i just sit there. This only happens for certain items (found in caches), others work fine.
Has anyone else experienced this?
