Does anyone have know of a program that can monitor connection to PC... What i'm trying to know is the IP's of the connections and possibly that ports that are being accessed. Is there a program that can do things like this?

Posted by: Sops

Never mindo, i found one

Do share.

Its called "Vision" I'm not sure where to find it. a friend sent me a copy. With it one can view what IP and ports people are connected to. Also shows through what program they are connected, IE AIM, trillian etc.... Its a really cool program.

sounds like hacker software... but a valuable tool...

Sounds pretty useful. More useful than the netstat command, at least.

Not really, i use it to moniture my server.... I've been having some weird bandwith issues and i've been trying to figure out what was going on... this will be a great aid..
Now that i think about it, ya it could be of aid to hackers, but o well, i'm going to use it to track one. If they happen to hack me..

O ya and it doesn't tell the IP of people on trillian on AIM, just if u connected to the server...

A firewall with logging function (like Norton Desktop from Symantec) would accomplish the same thing, AND allow you to open and close ports, providing security.

I have a router that is functioning as my firewall ATM... plus this program is free shareware

What kind of router, out of curiosity? I know that my Linksys has a logging function you can enable...

Its a Cayman DSl modem/router i think its a 4800...
