Internet Connection Sharing with Bluetooth

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi, does anyone know how to use ICS with a bluetooth network?

I have usb bluetooth adapters connecting my laptop and desktop at home, and wish to share the internet connection (cable modem) through the desktop.

I am running Windows XP PRo on both machines.

I can't figure it out. I figured out how to transfer files and whatnot, but the ICS is tricky!

I appreciate any help offered. Thanks.

Greetings mongous

Did your bluetooth adapter come with a reference manual or instruction booklet?

Anyway, see if these links are helpful:

Let us know if it doesn't work, and what error messages you get...

Yes, it came with a very limited manual on the cd. It barely tells me how to connect! It doesn't even mention how to set up ICS.

But I will check out those links, and let you know! I will have to try it tonight at home, as I am at work now.

Thanks!

Yeah, the info on those sites didn't work. Some of the options it said to check aren't there on my computer!

Such as this step:
Quote:

Click Advance, and click on the check boxes on the option for Internet connection sharing. Then click OK.

Those check boxes are not there...
