Laggy Warcraft III gameplay....

Ever since I got LinkSYS Wireless Cable/DSL Router, the game got MUCH laggier. I have a 2.53 GHz with 512 RAM and 80GB HD and a 64MB Video card RAM AND a cable modem! You can't expect slow gameplay from that. When I checked the webpage, it said that its mostly cuz of 2.2 Ghz phones that's in progress when online, but my mom never uses the phone and it STILL lags. Help?
PS: It's not chunky gameplay, but this popup ALWAYS comes up during gameplay:

And then after the popup disappears after a few seconds, the game starts speeding up around an extra 1000% and then slows back down and then the pop up comes back up every 4-5 minutes. As a result, i lost more games than I deserved. HELP! thx

I'm no expert on this stuff, but I've heard that the firewalls built into routers does slow down your internet, esp during gameplay. Does your router have a built-in firewall and if so, can you disable it and try w3 again?
