What do you guys know about Grisoft AVG Virus program. I have the free version installed. It has worked well for months. When I ran it this AM, it found a couple of Klez H virus, and supposedly healed them.

Problem:
During the process, my Photoshop 5.0 and upgrade 5.5 both disapeared and seem to be unrecoverable.

Have you heard anything about this phenominon?/

Thanks for listening.

The virus was probably in one or more of the Photoshop files. The virus might have permanently damaged the files or maybe the virusscanner couldn't remove the virus so it removed the files instead. Just reinstall Photoshop.

As for that virusscanner, I've seen it only once, no idea if it's any good...

I've been using it for only a couple months now but I haven't had an instance where it's been used yet. I also work for an ISP and I have it on my workstation at the office. So far nothing has gotten into my systems. So far so good.

Thanks Guys,
That's pretty much what I thought. I scanned the CD and nothing so reinstalled. All is wel so far. Just thought it was odd something attacking both versions of the same program.
Thanks

Nah, not odd at all. Think of it this way: You've got two little kids. One gets a nasty cold. The other's pretty likely to get a cold too, since they play with the same toys and share a lot of the same space. Same with your Photoshop files.
