Virus Alert!!

Man...how do people fall for this stuff? I just got spammed by a virus that masquerades as a "Learn to love", etc. document in the email. Got 56 messages and they are all named something different and fom different senders, but have the same file attached. Don't even need virus protection if you just pay attention to the file extensions and use a little common sense. Guess that's going to be the big thing at work today.
"I got an email that says "fall in love fast", and now my computer is doing all this crazy popups and crashes on me. Can you help?"

bored try running virus scan, if that doesn't help, try finding where this virus has hidden itself, can't help much more than that without knowing what's happening with your comp

all i can suggest is get something like tweak XP i think there is one for ME, 2K, and 98.... you can get it to block all pop-ups.
what i meant by needing more information is the type of crash, some viruses will crash comps in certain ways, some will cause the DBS to appear

guys...i didn't get the virus...I was just saying I got emails that contained a virus.

Least the phone rang for you today ... I was stuck in a 50 degree room rebuilding a computer for most of the day except when I came out to thaw.
