Best Alien race in Sci-Fi

Of all the alien races portrayed in Sci-Fi, which one do you think is the best? They can be either friend or foe. Doesn't matter.
My favorite has to be the Asgard in Stargate SG-1. They look kind of cheesy, but I love how they are portrayed in the show. They also don't have that silly humanoid appearance with just a different forehead ripple either...hehe

The aliens in The Aliens series are quite badass. But I don't know if I'd say they are my favorite. I dig the whole Klingon race, probably my favorite out of Star Trek, I find it quite refreshing to have an old warrior ethic that is common in many ancient cultures, in early stages of civilization, hundreds of years in the future and technologically advanced. But again, not my favorite over-all.
I think I'm going to say Unicron from the Transformers.

Also, on a similar note, I think the worst alien from any movie is going to have to be the alien in Contact. It was her ****ing dad, biggest let-down. I was totally into that flick until her goddamn father pops through the bubble and says he's the ****ing alien. **** that sucked.

Star Trek Voyager pretty much ruined the Borg. They were awsome in the NG though.

And I thought The Borg were better in Voyager. Jeri Ryan makes anything better  .

I'd say The Predator or the Alien. Although Jeri Ryan was good eye-candy, the Borg went lame after it became a 'hive' instead of a 'collective'.
