WarCraft III Expansion?

There are rumors circulating that Blizzard is releasing the WarCraft III expansion in the Summer of 2003.

That's one that doesn't really need to be announced.
The hope amongst the peanut gallery is that this expansion will do for Warcraft III what Brood War did for Starcraft.

I dug the single player missions but I didn't like it online, I was a bigger fan of vanilla starcraft. I never liked the new units that brood war added.

I don't think theres to many people that didn't like broodwars. I liked the new tilesets, however, I didn't like lurkers, corsairs, or medics, at all.

I agree with Spider. I liked Starcraft a lot more before broodwar. The few times I played broodwar, I totally owned the other people... even without touching the new units.

Warcraft III ownz Starcraft, BW sucked too... Ok so I disliked Starcraft very much, but hell I think War3 is way better and an expansion would be great. Can't wait for an expansion if it is actually coming.

Brood Wars rocked, it added a few more strategys you could use with the new units. Looking forward to new units in WarCraft, the lack of units was one of the main disappointments.

Lack of variety in WC3 compared to BW was a dissapointment. Right now you either go casters or ghouls.

That's your choice. Those are easy choices. There are plenty of other units you can choose from. It's just that nobody chooses to, and then they bitch about not having anything else to do as that specific race.
For the undead, since you chose them, you have ghouls, crypt fiends, gargoyles, necromancers, banshees, abominations, dragons, and siege units, seems like a good amount of variety to me.
It's just that nobody chooses to use them, because they're harder to play and win with.

New units, new heros, new tilesets... god that sounds good. I also like the fact that there will be new neutral buildings and heros even... ahh yes and new multiplayer modes as well. I'm getting this expansion for sure

New Hero's are as follows; Human Alliance: Blood Mage; Orcish Hordes: Shadow Hunter; Night Elf Sentinels: Warden; Undead Scourge: Crypt Lord.
information on these were apparently released in a gaming mag in your country, I got this info from a thread on the B.Net forums.

That's strange, I thought the article was supposed to be in the March issue of Computer Gaming World magazine. Blizzard was advertising it and had a picture of the cover on their site. Maybe it was some other mag, even though it wasn't announced.

not sure but all these people on the B.net forums have been talking about it and Gfraizer (being the only Blizz employee to chat to us) has said nothing against what they're saying I'll try to keep people updated as regularly as possible. Oh and if you want to sign up for beta testing they're taking people NOW!!

Ok new info has just been posted on the Blizzard site, the Undead hero the Crypt Lord has the folloiwing skills: Impale, Spiked Shield, Carrion Scarab, Locust Swarm.
As more information is released on the heroes I will post it here, I am currently trying to get info on the skills of the other three heroes. Basic information on each of these heroe's is released every week, though due to a gaming mag in the US some people have info regarding the skills of these heroes... as you may have noticed I am hoping to make Blizz News a common thing here, anyone wanting to view the post I have made regarding this, and wanting to give their opinion please have a look here http://www.opentechsupport.net/foru...&threadid=13343
