Has anyone ever seen transparent keyboard keys?? i was gonna replace all my keys with clear ones and run some sort of EL wire under the keys for a cool illumination effect. thanks.

I don't think individual keys are for sale. Great idea, though. Most people run EL wire under regular opaque keys for a cool effect, even though it doesn't illuminate the letters.

I have, however, seen transparant keyboards that are backlit, so if you really want that effect look for one of those.

I know there are keys out there that arent completely transparent, but where the letter is printed it has a clear plastic instead of just a painted on letter. It was designed especially for the el wire keyboard mod.

I dont have a link, but I think they were called "ClearKeys" or something like that.

the roll up (indestructible) keyboards are translucent .. if you're up to it you could mod a keyboard to use one of those w/the el
