Huh? Who'da thunk it?
New Zealand researchers have found that sitting at a computer for hours on end can cause fatal blood clots, just as long flights can lead to deep vein thrombosis (DVT), known as economy-class syndrome.
They discovered the link when a 32-year-old man who sat at his computer terminal for up to 18 hours a day nearly died after he developed a blood clot in his leg which travelled to his lungs.

Slow news day for our wacky friends from down under
I also read somewhere that holding your breath too long underwater might lead to drowning ...

Who the hell sits in one spot for 18 hours?
I may work long hours and sit at my computer a lot, but I rarely go longer than an hour without getting up and walking around. Can't stand to sit in one place like that.

Your clot is probably still chilling around your thigh.
Give it a little while.

hmmm i would suggest he was almost dead anyway, cos to develop a clot from DVT you have to not move your leg or only move it so little it doesn't make much difference, I blame the Guinness Book of World Records. Oh and did they say what game he was playing?? cos I want it if it can keep you at your comp screen for 18 hrs straight.

Diablo 2, or Counterstrike.
Those are the only two games people have died from playing recently, that I'm aware of.
