Computer won't boot

I was out of town for a couple of weeks, and the house got a little warm inside, perhaps around 90 degrees or so. When I got back home, I turned on my computer, and the internal PC speaker made a beeping sound, and the Computer won't start at all. No BIOS, or anything is output to the monitor. I'm guessing that the CPU got too hot, and doesn't work, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was it one long beep? or a series or beeps?
You can try hitting reset on your computer about two or more times and see if it boots up ... otherwise, you would have to open it up and check the inside - it may be a problem with the memory, the video card or maybe the mobo itself ... check your mobo manual and see what the beep pattern means, or just tell us and we'll try to find out what's wrong...

Ok, when I turn it on, it beeps for about a second, then is quiet for a second, and then beeps for a second, and so on. I've tried pulling everything out, and I'm going to try some more stuff pretty soon. Here's my specs, if that helps any:
-ATX Case
-PIII 450 Mhz
-Abit BE6 mobo
-256 Mbs RAM
-Voodoo3 2000 video card
That's about all that's relevent, I think.

Ok, I just pulled out the memory, and switch the two DIMMs just for the heck of it. I pulled out the video card, and stuck it back in. I turned off the monitor, and turned off the subwoofer for my speakers, and the damn thing booted up. I'm going to put some of it back together, and see if it still works.

Alright, I plugged some stuff back into it and now when it boots it says "CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded" This may be because I just added 128 Mbs of RAM and I haven't been able to boot it since. It appears to be actually getting into windows, so it may be ok.

When it booted, it told me it was December 31, 1998, and it adjusted my clock for daylight savings time. Crazy thing.

Looks like the checksum error reset all your configurations to default, and then some ...
It may be a fried section of your motherboard, but I'm only guessing, hehe ... if it works fine now, try to give it a two-to-five hour re-burn in and see if the computer doesn't **** up or anything....
