2003 is truly the year of the Matrix, with not only two movies but also a huge DVD of anime based in that world. For those that don't know, the Animatrix is a series of nine short animated films by seven anime directors. The first episode has been released and is titled The Second Renaissance, Part One. It was directed by Mahiro Maeda (BLUE SUBMARINE No. 6). You can download it here.
