valentines day is vastly overcommercialized. not to mention, everything is crowded and the prices are jacked up. i am going to hide, and play drunken eq.

I'm gonna be sending my ex-gf a greeting card from hallmark.com later (huge server load there right now) ... I'll be buying a sixpack of san miguel beer and some cheetos ... gonna rent a couple DVDs tonight ... do some database work in the afternoon, then watch the DVDs ... then I'm gonna do an all-nighter - of playing on my PS2...

There's a bar here having a F**K Valentine's Day party in the basement. $15 to get in, full open bar. It's gonna be a blast.

Typical Valentine's Day: avoid commercial attempts to use arbitrary time constraints to guide how I spend my money and deal with up's and down's. . .
Downs: Had to watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". Cute and not poorly written in terms of dialogue but, if you filter out the triple-layer of Greek stereotypes, is just another stock, off-the-shelf "culture shock"-type love story. Nothing new there.
