I'm thinking of buying a "better" graphics card from my computer. Since I have a limited amount of spending money, I was wondering which graphic card is better:
Gainward 128 MB SDRAM or ASUS v9180 64 DDR?
Can't settle between the 128 SDRAM or 64 DDR. I need a card that good for gaming with lots of graphics.
Much appreciated.

The Asus card is a Geforce4 MX440, it's a pretty new card, but not really fast (compared to what else is available).
Do you have any more details on that Gainward card? Just knowing the amount of RAM isn't going to tell us much about it's speed. The fact that it has SDRAM makes me think that it's quite old though
How much money do you have to spend?

unless something is drastically wrong with your current video card, i wouldnt recommend replacing it with anything less than a geforce 3 or the equivalent. a gf4 non-mx would be better.

Sorry for the late reply.
It says here on the box, Gainward Geforce 4 PowerPack, Model MX/600 TV 128 SDR Tv-Out. Anyone recognize this model? Should I just shell out a bit more and go for best? I guess my limit would be around $100.
Thanks for the replies.

here are two good cards for around $100 found at Price Watch.
$130 - GeForce4 TI 4200 128MB
$108 - GeForce4 TI 4200 64MB

I just picked up the Radeon 9500 Pro, almost twice your price range though. But it's worth the money! It also is direct x 9 compliant.

It would also help a whole lot to know what type and speed your CPU is.

Oops, sorry..
My comp specs are:
CPU: Pent. 2.4
Motherboard: ASUS P4S533E
Memory: 512 MB DDR 333 PC2700
About the graphics card, in general, which is faster in terms of graphic card, 128 SDRAM or 64 DDR or do they rank the same?
Thanks all.

Both cards are a Geforce4 MX440. An MX card is a cheaper version of the real thing, with less features and alot slower. Unless you really don't have more money to spare, I wouldn't buy an MX card, if you spend a little more, you get a card that lasts you alot longer than these ones.
I'd go for at least a Geforce4 Ti4200, they're not that expensive, and well worth the money.
As for the 128MB SDR vs 64MB DDR, I don't know which one is faster, they're probably pretty close to eachother.
