Ever have one of those weeks?

Omg, what a week. I was just wondering if anyone else wants to share a story of the week from hell....or heck if it wasnt that bad! I would cry if I wasnt so busy laughing.......

So my story starts out last monday when i drive Otto(mr ray) 3 hours away to start his orientation for his new job driving a truck Over-The-Road. He spends another 2 days on paperwork and is supposed to start driving with his trainer on thursday. Wednesday (which was his b-day, btw) we got a phone call at 10:30pm telling us his mother was very ill in the hospitol and her heart had stopped but they got it going again. I load up the kids at midnight and drive the 3 hours to get him and then drive the 3 hours back to the hospitol so he can be with her. I spend the day awake with the kids and finally get to bed at 10pm thursday evening. Mother-in-law is stable by this weekend but will probably end up in a nursing home, she's 75 and health is getting bad.
Well things are getting better and his job says they will base him within 3 hours of home for the month of his training, he will even make it home for a few hours occasionally. He will be making deliveries for Wal-mart out of their distrubution centers to their stores.
This morining we do the whole load up the kids and drive 3 hours thing again. We meet his trainer and find out where to put his stuff and all that. Then.... and here is the wonderfull twist to end my week.... he tells us that tonight they will be making their first delivery. If you have any sense of irony you will see where this story is going right now. As it happens thier first delivery is to the Walmart that is about 6 blocks from our house The only thing keeping me from screaming is my sense of humor and the fact that at least he will get paid for driving back almost to our house!

So, anyone else have a good story to tell?

hmm no nothing so bad as that, but i have to walk to work this morning at 4am because i cant get my car out of the snow. im not sure exactly how much snow ive gotten so far (its about up to my knee, much higher in the drifts) but i know its not supposed to stop until like tomorrow afternoon. yeah, the company i work at is closed so it shouldnt be too bad of a day (12hr shit because im covering the call-outs) unless (gods forbid) the power goes out. ive had the pleasure of that experience once already this week

so yeah, you still win luv (oh did they let you ride back home in the truck?)

Hold that thought until about two weeks before the end of the semester.

umm.... I hate my new job and I've been trying to find another one since day one. It's been 3 weeks. How's that for a lovely story.

Oh what a sad story

lol hey it is when you're in the situation. Want a job? I'll sing ya up, then you can share my story.

Nah, I'll find my story (and job).
And when I have it...

Forgot the rest

I'll find my story (and job) and then I shall wait for the right time to tell it

In two weeks I'm supposed to be having a really fun week... but I just have this feeling... so I might have one after that...
