256Mbit DDR Verified for Use on Intel's New Chipsets

Samsung Electronics, Hynix Semiconductor and Infineon Technologies announced on Wednesday their 256Mbit DDR400 have each passed Intel’s verification for use with its new Springdale chipsets and are available in sample and volume quantities.

“We will see DDR400 support the highest performance Pentium 4 processor desktop and workstation systems in 2003,” said Pete MacWilliams, Intel Senior Fellow, in a statement.
