Detonator3 v12.41 Problems

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have installed the Detonator3 v12.41 drivers and DirectX-8a. Now the Diablo II Setup-Video Tests reports no usable video.
Diablo will not run. I have tried all six of the hardware acceleration settings.

If I install the previous version of Detonator3 drivers, I get the blue screen of death. The only drivers that work are the default drivers from Microsoft.

Riva TNT2 Model 64Pro, Win2000-SP2, PII, SB-Live, 196MB-Ram, 3.7MB-used/5.8MB-Free

Try going to Device Manager, then Display Properties, and delete/uninstall your display adapter (also check if there are duplicate entries)... reboot and have Win2K re-detect your video card, then make sure to install the v12.41 drivers when prompted...

If you still can't run Diablo II, then try uninstalling the game and reinstall it, download the patch from Blizzard's site and apply, and have it run the video test.

If that doesn't work, then it "may" be a compatibility problem with your TNT2 and DirectX 8 ... Check first if the above suggestions work, and stick around for more suggestions...

Try what Canis suggested. It's probably a video driver conflict.

If you still have problems, I guess you will have to use the older Microsoft drivers.
