Metal and hard rock. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif I don't have very many mp3s, or much knowledge about the bands. I rarely have time to listen to the technological marvel called the "radio".

I love music. I have wide tastes too. I'm even going to go to school on a music scholarship.
Metal is good. Yes.

Metal sucks. Unless there are no words. Then it's awsome. Forget all that damn screaming..hehe

Metal is awesome cause it's very harmonic and melodic music. If you get the right stuff... hehe

Although I'm probably one of the only people on earth to like both metal AND electronica/trance.
But the funny thing is, I like them for the exact same reasons. Both types of music is both very melodic and harmonic if you get the right stuff.

I agree with Nova. There's some metal I think that's totally awsome. But it's usually clouded with screaming words about seeing your mom put to death..hehe

Hehehe, I absolutely loved metal when I was in college - I was even in a band and we were doing covers for led zep, black sabbath and slayer...
Then I turned 25.... http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/biggrin.gif

I listen to both.
a combination of both usually makes good d2/rune/etc music.

Hehe, I don't like the metal songs that you can't understand the lyrics to. Some bands actually do have some nice singers. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif

I like music. I hate classifications, so I'll just put some of the bands I listen to and you can decide what I like. I bet most of this stuff you won't even recognize.
At the Gates
Apoptygma Berzerk
Wumpscut
VNV Nation
Killswitch Engage
Satyricon
Cradle of Filth
Faith No More
Fantomas
Dillinger Escape Plan
and that's just the beginning... if any of you recognize anything there and like it, you have good taste in my opinion.
Heh.

The only band I recognize there is Faith No More, and they're pretty good... Dunno the rest, but then again, I'm probably out of the scene too long to recognize 'em, hehehe http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/biggrin.gif

Funny you mentioned that, Foog ... I sold my black Fender Strat, Dunlop CryBaby Wah pedal and a couple of DOD effect pedals (Grunge and Super Overdrive) when I turned 25. Figured I wasn't really using it anymore, and I'm probably too old to enter the band scene, so I sold em.
I did keep some instruments just to be sure - my Dad's '72 Maya Strat and an old Marshall Tube amp.... And I recently got a Fender Stratocoustic, just for wireless playing ...
Man, now I miss my high school days...

Cradle of Filth is a harsh band. I won't listen to them myself. I hate the content.

Whoohoo!!! I can keep the Fender Jazz bass! Now all I have to do is get a speaker cab to place under my Ampeg SVT-3 head and I'm set. Well, that and I'll have to practice a bit...
