I'm officially bored with the games I have for XBox, so what are some good games I can pick up? I don't want games that'll be released in a month or something, I plan to get a game within the week. So what's some goodies that are out now?

I'll second MGS2:Substance. Even though I don't think Nova has even played it.
I'm playing it now for PS2 and its lots and lots of fun.

I played Panzer Dragoon Orta a heck of a lot when I rented it, got to Episode 7. MGS2 I've played on both XBox and PS2. Silent Hill 2 I have but is on hold till I get me some surround sound so I can scare the crap out of myself.

I'm thinking Capcom Vs. SNK is the best choice.

Nope, Baldur's Gate is good, but it's short and more of a action RPG.
Morrowind is ok, but you get bored real quick.

So I went to sell some old games but only managed to get rid of one...for $10.  On top of it, they didn't even have Capcom Vs. SNK 2, so I had to take the $10 instead of 15 in credit and go to a different store. They had it there, but found it was much harder to justify spending $50 cash on a game then it is to spend $35 plus 15 credit. So I went with Shenmue 2 as it was only 30 clams.
Hopefully it doesn't suck.

Wow everywhere around here has Capcom Vs SNK 2 for 39.99 or 34.99.
I rented Shenmue 2 and was bored with it after a couple hours. Then again, I didn't like the first one either.

I never played the first one.
Actually, I don't know that it was $50, as the price tag was covered up by some sticker, but all the other new games were $50, so I just assumed it was too.
In anycase, I haven't even taken Shenmue 2 out of the bag yet. Infact, I don't even know why I bought it. So I'm going to return it and get Capcom vs. SNK 2 instead. Hopefully for $40.

Good call.
If you have Live let me know. Capcom Vs SNK 2 is one of the better Live games out there. Next to Mech Assault and Ghost Recon.

I liked Shenmue 2 alot.
Had fun with the first two discs, but disc 3 (dreamcast) and 4 were just awesome. So much action and the story got really good.

I'm definatly going to rent Shenmue 2 atleast, but I wanted a multiplayer game anyway.
I have Live, and MechAssualt for it.

Shenmue 2 SUCKS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! Good call, although Ghost Recon and Unreal Championship I, personally, think are a lot better than Capcom vs. SNK 2, but thats just my opinion. Some good ones for ps2 are Red Faction 2, Red Faction 1, Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Another good one for xbox is Kung Fu Caos. Its loads of fun. And I only have the demo.

OH YEAH, AND IF YOU HAVE ONLINE FOR PS2 SOCOM IS LIKE THE BEST GAME!! I "slept" over at my friends house, pulled an all-nighter, and played it for over 13 hours. I am addicted. I still haven't gotten bored of it. If you get bored of the game you can always have fun talking to people untill you wanna play the game again.

Unreal Championship good???
Good for 1Vs1, but as soon as you get more than 5 people in a game it goes to shit. UC is one of the worst Live games there are.
I would rate Whacked! higher than UC.

Whacked is ok for maybe 20 mins. THe commercials are good for a couple viewings though but you'll only get those in the full version.
