HELP ! Ad-Aware 6.0-related problem

I ran Ad-aware 6.0 & I think it messed up my registry (or something), Now my computer locks up (esp when it encounters certain image files like.tif or .bmp). Sometimes it reboots itself!
Any patches to fix this?
my system:
P3-800, 128MB RAM
VIDEO card Intel 82810E (4MB)
Sound card MS WINMM WDM
OS: Win 2000

Have you tried uninstalling AdAware?

no I haven't uninstalled it yet. I didn't uninstall for fear of creating more problems. Should I uninstall it & will that be likely to solve the freezes?

I have uninstallled Ad-Aware, but it has not helped...still getting freezes... any suggestions?
