PC2700 Ram - Need to edit bios?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: FinalFate

Hello all!
Just upgraded from 256mb PC2100 to 512 PC2700. In my bios it used to say(when I had the 256mb) "Dram Frequency - 133Mhz", so I changed it to 166Mhz to stay in line with the new 512mb PC2700(333mhz) upgrade.

Is this the right thing to do when you upgrade from a slower ram to a faster one? Specifically, do you have to change the "Dram Frequency" to match the RAM speed?

Anyhelp greatly appreciated!
(You guys are doin a great job!)

Yes, you're supposed to do that.
