I dunno what to do

Well I have had this problem ever since I installed warcraftIII when ever I click on the icon on the desktop it loads to a dark screen and just locks my computer up im currently running windows 98' if that can help you out. The only way i can run the game is if i have the World editor on before i turn on warcraftIII and haveing the world editor on causes nos ounds so i would like to know how i can just click on the desktop icon and have a running game with sound.

I jsut scrolled down and i noticed that someone said they "Anyways what did was putting on the hardware sound acceleration level to full on dxdiag." how would i go about doing this?

Run the program in there, as for changing I cant really remember, I havent run 98 in over a year, but it should be there.
