Memory Mistake...Motherboard gone?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

A freind of mine (honest) installed PNY memory with 100 mhz clock into his 200 mhz motherboard. I was un aware that he chose the wrong memory or I would have stopped him. He tried to reinstall his old memory and his machine will not boot. Is he SOL? He tried to install PNY 256 DDR 2100 by the way I just want to beable to inform him if he may need to buy another motherboard.

Thanks,
Stimpy

DDR2100 = 133/266 MHz, should work fine in any mainboard that supports DDR RAM.

Try resetting the bios with the clear cmos jumper.

his motherboard might be dead, but it has nothing to do with the memory.
