I'm trying to overclock an AMD 1600+ (1391 mhz just isnt enough these days), and I cant figure out what motherboard I have...
The crappy manual says : Socket A
MyPCInfo sees it as a : Socket A
Is there really a motherboard called Socket A, or is this just some type of motherboard... I dont know much
I'd really appreciate it if anybody could help me with overclocking (I dont wanna take it up too high, all I have for cooling is my basement floor and a floorfan or two).

Socket A is the type of socket AMD uses to connect the CPU to the motherboard. Sorry, but we can't tell you what your motherboard is by that information.
This site doesn't give overclocking tips as a general rule.. however, check out the forums in my sig. They can help you with your overclocking needs.

Thanks, and by the way, I think I've found out what type it is.
Its based on the SiS 735, and its made for AMD K7 processors....
Would this be an K7S5A?

Possibly. Are you sure the model number isn't printed on the motherboard itself?

Well, on further research, its an m830r, and I've flashed the bios to cheepobios, its for a k7s5a, but people say it works fine (and it does ). I've... *accidently* clocked it up to 138/138 (from 133/133) just to see the tempurate difference.... It seems to be around 40 celcius, if I'm gaming it goes up to about 44.... Im going to put it higher, and set a warning at 50. I'm going to *accidently* set it to 150/150 *if* I find out enough about air cooling to see if I wont fry it.
My brothers 1800+ runs at about 50 celcius...
Say, if one were *accidently* to put a floor fan on it, and take both sides of the case, would it be safe to *accidently* run it at 150/150? The clock speed would go up to around 1600 if im not mistaken.

Using a floor fan is a good temporary solution, but in the long run I'd suggest upgrading your cooling.

Whats a good fan I could get with UDNER 100$ canadian...

I don't know any Canadian retailers, but I can give you suggestions. I'd say the Thermalright SK-7 or the SLK-800 if you want to spend a little bit more. YS-Tech adjustible speed fan so you can adjust the noise.
