annoying popups

I've been getting more and more of those annoying popups lately. The ones that caution me that my computer is broadcasting my IP address and trying to sell me a solution for stopping popups. Funnily enough most of the popups are from these companies so if it wasn't for their blackmailing messages I wouldn't need a popup stopping program. I use pop up stopper but it doesn't do anything against this new kind of pop ups.

Can someone please recommend a good program for dealing with these kinds of popups?

Thanks.

some popups will get around any blocker.

however, mozilla based browsers can block most of them. also try popup killer. there are a few others, just do a search for them.

Read this guide:

It tells you how to kill "messenger services" popups, which regular pop-up blockers can't block.

Thanks, Shalome,

This is amazing!

pop up stopper stops everything but 2 kinds ( the windows error message kind, and the 'in window' ones used by coke and cars makers)

so about 90% is good enough for me

go to panicware.com and download the (FREE) pop-up stopper. This is the best I've ever seen. Completely Free !!!!
