Changing blank wallpaper color

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Is there a way to change the default color windows uses when you select "Blank" as a wallpaper? I want a black background, but when I select blank it gives me blue. I would just paint a black bitmap, but I would rather have a blank desktop than a 2mb bitmap using up memory(call me a ram conservationist if you want).

And I definitely do NOT want to turn active desktop on and use a small file size JPEG. Active desktop causes me nothing but problems.

OS? General for Windows (98,XP) - right click on desktop > properties > appearance tab > click on the blue background in the window > choose black

pffft...how did I miss that

Much better, the blue would mess this thing up. I cant figure out how to get rid of that top part though, I think thats a bug with the program.

Black background pwns. I used to have it on my 98 machine, and couldn't stand anything else.

That was before the days of DigitalBlasphemy though.
