Cannot Connect to Battle.net

I know this has been covered plenty of times but I can't seem to find a post that is specific enough to suit my needs. So here I go I'll try to be very specific...
I have Cable and use a Siemen's Speedstream 2604 Cable/DSL 4-Port Router. I run Windows ME. I have two computers connected to the router, mine and my little bro's (Runs Windows XP). My computer runs Norton Antivirus 2003. Ok that's the system specs... if you need more simply ask. Now here is the problem... I'm running WC3 and when I attempt to connect to Battle.net it gives me this message to the EXACT wording...
"You may be trying to connect to an invalid Battle.net server. If you are using a modem, you may need to manually connect to the internet before connecting to Battle.net."
My Battle.net Realms are all normal (I don't use any 3rd party server programs), I see Lordaeron (West), Azeroth (East) , etc... etc... My Internet works fine 100% when routed and Diablo II works 100% fine, but WC3 is starting to annoy me. Even AFTER I took the cable off the router and kept the cable all to myself it consisted in not working, and gave me the same message. I have checked many many many forums from Blizzard, Siemen's Tech Support Center (router support), and other sites on the net, and I cannot fix this problem. Also, I am using a CD Key from a Key Gen (if that would have any effect, But I do know if the Key was duplicate it would give me an ENTIRELY different error message upon login attempt) Please do not hate on me for using the Key Gen, I simply want to know why this isn't working. I even tried adding WC3 as a "Special Application" in my router settings with In/Out Ports etc etc. Here is a Link to the Support page (with Graphics!) for my router on the "Special Applications" ... Please look at it.
*edit* Link will not work- go to this link
http://www.speedstream.com/support/2604main.html
then click on "SpeedStream Knowledgebase" A small pop-up window will come up with the info, There is a section of folders in the left of this window, click the 3rd folder down called 2600 Router, then, in the right section of the window (after it loads) click the 3rd article down entitled,"2524, 2604, 2624 - Configuring Ports in Residential Class Routers." That should be the page with all the settings. (Also use this knowledge database for other references if needed)
This next link is to the Blizzard Support for Port Numbers and Network/Router/Firewall support.

This link is for further reference in the Blizzard Support.

As you can see, I've done my homework only to come to a dead end, if anyone with more experience knows how to fix this... Please Help! Perhaps There's a firewall I have that I don't know about? If so how do I check it? How do I turn it off? --- Just some additional questions... uhmmmm I think I covered everything... GL

We won't "hate on you" for using a key gen... but we won't be able to help you either.
It sounds like everything you have is set up correctly, therefore the best bet is that the problem lies with the key gen.
We don't help support problems caused by third-party hacks/cracks like key generators.

The key gen? It merely makes a cd key, it never runs with the actual program. But because of trying everything else, I think the key is the actual problem, I suppose Blizzard had a good security update? Nevertheless, I will try to reinstall and use my CD key, me and my bro will just have to play Lan if we want to be able to play together

You are correct. The Battle.net servers authenticate cdkeys as well as accounts. CDkeys generated by a program do not work online, sorry.
