Open Tech Support celebrates its third year online!

Yep, OTS.net is three years old today, and boy, how time flies.

We would like to thank everyone who has stuck with us (yet again) for another year, and those who will continue to stick with us in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff members and moderators from last year who are no longer within the OTS staff, but have helped immensely in keeping our site afloat and in the thick of it through the years. This one goes to -Memnoch-, Ion Silverbolt, Tweaker, REVENGE, CETORT, Nova Z, Kdr Kane, AK47, S0ma, Gerbilo, Asmodai, and DemonBob (congrats on the wedding!) ... And I especially want to thank the people who stayed within the staff, and are still willing to stick it out through the hard times. Salutes go to TotalRecall, Shalome, Tecil, Spider, Gunslinger, Bobbaroo330, Freak and Nfested (btw, where the hell are you?)

As much as I'd like to rejoice that OTS has survived three years online, I would like to ask a moment of silence and remembrance for our very dear friend and colleague, Richard Sarno (known as t'kron online), who passed away last Friday due to lung cancer. He is the personification of what this site strives to be - he always took the time to help other people, and has done so for almost his entire life. He will be missed terribly, not just by his family, but by his friends and those who knew him. Rest in peace, Rich, you have done well...

------

As you can see, new layout (again) ... it's almost a tradition here in OTS to have a new layout on its birthday. Well, I hope you like this one - not really one of my more original layouts but it strives to be more user-friendly and easier to navigate ... also take the time to visit the new sections, like the Reviews! Some of the old features are coming back, so stay tuned, and we hope you have a great week

Congrats, Laggy, on making it through three years and still going strong.

Aside from applauding the ongoing obvious purpose of the site -- the tech support -- I gotta say.. What a community! We've seen everything.. members graduating high school and college, members getting engaged, members getting married, members having babies, and now, sadly enough, a member leaving this world for the next.

We've seen and discussed and screamed about and debated and agreed to disagree on a national tragedy and two wars.

We've been silly and had fun, we've played games together, we've had discussions rivaling anything I participated in during college, we've fought like family members. We've met in Los Angeles.

We've evolved. We're still relevant. How many other websites can say that?

I say cheers to Open Tech Support, to Canis Lupus, and to all of us for making this an always-interesting place to be!

Congrats Laggy and everyone.

And very nice layout! The text size in the entry fields *could* be a little bigger though.

Happy belated B-Day OTS. It's been almost a year and a half since I've joined the community, and has it ever evolved since then. Good people, and lots of good memories here.
