Audio Codecs arent working

This PVR is driving me crazy. The audio codecs were working fine before I got my new hard drive, which I ended up formatting and reinstalling windows instead of just copying it over. The video codec works fine, Im using MPEG4. Before I was using the Mpeg Layer 1 audio codec, now its not even on my list of audio codecs I can use with MPEG4. It does show up on the list for other codecs though. I tried MP3, and apparently I dont have an MP3 encoder, I recorded a 2 hour show without sound using the MP3. Ive installed several, they have done nothing.
Anyone know what to do? Ive been using Windows Media Video for a while since the others wont work, and it looks and sounds like total crap.

Nimo's codec pack may have what you need.
